I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
